A frontal collision is a scary experience.
Remember in most collisions, the first part of the car that will be affected will be the front part of the car. Depending on the speed it was travelling in, crumpling of the car inwards can be dangerous as it can crumble towards the battery and then consequently earthing the battery causing fire. Hence the first thing to note is never to allow the red terminal of the battery to be in contact with a metallic body. If it is possible, provide additional insulation layers. Also, try to have a fire extinguisher around.
